"Oxford Street Dance Theater formed during the summer of 2003, however the concept of the company started in the summer of 2000 when we were roommates on Oxford Street in Berkeley. We had been dancing in the same Graham technique class every day since we started UC Berkeley and became determined to go after our goal of being in the Bay Area Repertory Dance Company. After dancing in the company, we remained stained with a passion for dancing. In the summer of 2003, we decided to revisit the idea of dancing professionally and pursued our dream of creating our own dance company."
